  2. May 22,  · "Ride A Rock Horse" is one of my 2 favorite Roger Daltrey solo albums (the other being Parting Should Be Painless). While each of his albums has from a few to many great songs, this one is very consistent, as if it were thoughtfully pieced together vs. "a collection of songs".

  4. Other than Ringo, Roger Daltry might be the most under-rated artist from the classic-rock era. His solo music was top-notch and 'Ride a Rock Horse' might have been the best of the bunch (certainly the best cover). 'Oceans Away' is one of his best songs as is 'I Was Born to Sing Your Song' (strangely not a single or on his greatest hits)/5(17).
  5. Artist Roger Daltrey. Title Ride A Rock Horse. 1 x Vinyl, LP, Album. B4 Milk Train. Position Title Duration. A nearly perfect record. A NM- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during Rating: % positive.

  7. Roger Daltrey's career outside the Who differs from most solo ventures. Rather than compete with his group, he chooses music very much out of their realm. Ride a Rock Horse, his second solo endeavor, differs also from his initial Daltrey, suggesting that on his own he prefers to experiment.
  8. Ride a Rock Horse is the second solo studio album by English singer Roger Daltrey, released on 4 July by Track in the UK and MCA in the US. Ride a Rock Horse was recorded during Daltrey's filming commitments for Ken Russell 's film Lisztomania.
